How It Works

  1. Snap a photo using your phone’s camera (via the Say the Time app or your device’s gallery).
  2. Upload & analyze: We’ll scan the image for:
    • Dates/times (e.g., “March 15, 2024” or “3:30 PM”)
    • Contextual details (e.g., “Follow-up appointment” or “Property tax due”)
  3. Create a reminder: A summary is generated with detected dates/times.
  4. Photo saved: The original image is stored in the reminder’s Files section for quick access.

Example use cases:

  • 📄 Medical letters: Snap a doctor’s appointment letter → Reminder created for “Cardiology follow-up on April 12 at 2 PM”.
  • 💸 Bills: Photograph a property tax notice → Reminder set for “Pay $1,200 by November 30”.
  • 📝 Handwritten notes: Capture a sticky note saying “Call Sarah Thursday!” → Reminder scheduled for next Thursday at 10 AM.

Smart Analysis Features

  • Text recognition: Extracts printed or handwritten dates/times.

Pro Tips

  • For best results, ensure text is clear and well-lit in photos.
  • Use this for receipts, event posters, or whiteboard meeting notes – we’ll parse dates even from complex layouts.
  • Combine with #tags (e.g., #health, #finance) when editing the auto-generated reminder.

Note: All photos are encrypted and stored securely. Delete images anytime from the reminder’s file section.
